Russian Propaganda Has Intensified Before the Parliamentary Elections in Moldova.

In Moldova this tactic is more aggressive than in other states.

President of the Institute for Global Politics Oleh Bereziuk’s  interview to Moldovan media

It is no exaggeration to say that the parliamentary elections in our neighbor Moldova will become an important  event on the political arena not only in Europe. After all, in the context of the current world politics, these elections, as well as elections in other European countries, reflect the situation that has been emerging lately and does not allow to make long term forecasts. Although some things can be predicted already now. For example, what path Moldova will take if Russia’s supporters interfere in its further existence and development.

The Institute for Geopolitical Studies has recently devoted its research to this very topic, as you can learn from the materials posted on our website. This was also discussed at the Institute’s round table, where Moldovan politicians were present, among others. And the representatives of Moldpres, a Moldovan news agency, addressed the President of the Institute, Oleh Bereziuk, with a proposal to present our vision of the parliamentary elections in Moldova on their pages. In particular, Oleh Bereziuk, answering the question, referred in his interview to the Institute’s mentioned study “Russian Influence on the Parliamentary Elections in Moldova: Information Dimension”. In particular, he mentioned the spreading  by Moscow propaganda of special narratives focused on the election campaign in Moldova and pointed out that in Moldova this tactic is more aggressive than in other states.

Oleh Bereziuk also gave a TV interview to the well-known independent Moldovan portal NordNews.md, in which he informed the Moldovan public about the research conducted by the Institute’s experts and answered journalists’ questions.

The content of these interviews will also be available on the website of the Institute for Global Politics.
